ECCH donates to Christmas party for local children

East Coast Community Healthcare (ECCH) has donated to the Children's Diabetic Committee for Great Yarmouth and Waveney to help them host a Christmas party. The charity-funded committee provides support, guidance and a listening ear to children and parents affected by diabetes.

With the committee having been unable to hold many social gatherings over the last year due to COVID-19, ECCH donated £195 from its East Coast Support Fund to provide a children’s entertainer, ‘Tricky Twister’, for the party to make it extra fun for all the children involved.

ECCH’s East Coast Support Fund sees the organisation donate up to £1000 per quarter to local charities and community projects, as nominated by employees and voted for by its staff Shareholder Council.

This particular cause was nominated by Operational Administrator Faye Boast, who is also a treasurer for the Children’s Diabetic Committee for Great Yarmouth and Waveney. She said “Everyone said the entertainment was excellent – I can’t thank you enough for approving my application. The donation from the East Coast Support Fund really helped us put on an extra special day.”
