Become one of our amazing volunteers!
We are so grateful for the time and enthusiasm our volunteers give us and the real difference they make to staff and patients.
As an ECCH volunteer, you’ll receive support from our volunteer services team at Voluntary Norfolk, who can help find the right volunteering role for you. You’ll receive training and support to ensure you feel confident in your role and that you get as much out of it as you are putting in.
To hear first-hand experience of what it’s like to volunteer with ECCH, check out this podcast episode where ECCH nurse Karen Peat and volunteer Denise Bolger share their inspiring experiences of working together in the leg ulcer clinic at Northgate Hospital
Provide companionship and conversation to inpatients at Beccles Hospital. If you love to chat and can spare a couple of hours a week, then this could be the role for you!
Assist staff at a range of ECCH’s sites, including Beccles Hospital, Northgate Hospital, Kirkley Mill Health Centre, Rayner Green and Martham Health Centre. Volunteers at our clinics provide an extra pair of hands to staff, helping with practical tasks and errands that help keep things running smoothly.
Help collect valuable feedback by carrying out surveys with patients who have agreed to be contacted over the phone. This role offers the opportunity to make a fantastic contribution to ECCH, as well as building your experience in administration skills for a healthcare organisation. Calls can be done from home and to a flexible schedule.
If you’re interested in becoming an ECCH volunteer, please fill out our application form to register your interest and a volunteer coordinator will get in touch with you to discuss this further. You can also email volunteering@ecchcic.nhs.uk for more details.
We require all of our volunteers to provide 2 character referees and undertake some training. Some roles will also require a DBS check.
