Richard Haynes – Trainee Nursing Associate

I am a Trainee Nursing Associate in the Great Yarmouth Primary Care Home, prior to starting this current Apprenticeship I successfully completed the Senior Healthcare Support Worker Level 3 Apprenticeship with a distinction.

I wanted to do an Apprenticeship because I wanted to test my knowledge, learn new skills and push myself to the next level of learning. I have recently completed the Senior Healthcare Support Worker Level 3 Apprenticeship and the feeling of successfully completing this has encouraged me to seek further development, which is why I wanted to become a Trainee Nursing Associate. I have also spoken to past and current TNA’s who have shared their positive experiences.

From completing the Level 3 Apprenticeship, I have learnt that time management is key and the basics of referencing which will help me within the Trainee Nursing Associate Apprenticeship.

My experience with Apprenticeships has been very good and enjoyable, I have had the opportunity to gain a new qualification which has also allowed me to progress into a Trainee Nursing Associate.

I am looking forward to becoming a Registered Nursing Associate with a view becoming a Registered Nurse, I would also recommend Apprenticeships because you can earn while you learn and it allows you career progression.
