Social Value

As a social enterprise, East Coast Community Healthcare exists to add value to the lives of local people, not to make a profit. All our surplus resources are reinvested in our services and in the communities we serve.

Animal Magic

Members of the 7th Lowestoft Rainbows group needed help to complete their “Animal Lover” badge so we funded tickets for them to make a trip to Africa Alive zoo in Kessingland. Rainbows is the first step on the Girlguiding ladder, for girls aged 4 to 7 years.

Musical Lifelines

The Musical Lifelines group in Bungay received £990. This free musical workshop is for people in later life, especially those with dementia, Parkinson’s or who are at risk of social isolation. The group is free to attend and needed the funding for room hire at Bungay Community Centre. Musical Lifelines’ activities support many aspects of rehabilitation such as posture, movement, breathwork, co-ordination, interaction and communication To share awareness of the group we have posters up at all sites in Waveneny and as a team have leaflets to share with our patients. The information has also been shared with other clusters and PCH and through PCH huddle also in Waveney.

Helping Make Things Possible

The charity REMAP Great Yarmouth was given £500 to support its work making bespoke adaptive equipment for people with a disability. The equipment, produced by our team of dedicated volunteers, can help with day-to-day tasks such as mobility, personal care or eating, or it can enable the client to pursue a hobby or ambition, such as participating in a sport or art activity.

New Kit for Waveney Jaguars

The Waveney Jaguars football club will be scoring goals in style thanks to new kit provided by East Coast Community Healthcare (ECCH).
The social enterprise, which provides NHS community health services across Norfolk and Suffolk, has given the under 12’s team £750 to pay for sports kit and training jackets.
