Top Results for Flu Vaccinations

East Coast Community Healthcare is the highest performing community health organisation in the east of England for staff flu vaccinations for the second year running.

A total of 73.3% of ECCH staff were vaccinated between October and February in order to protect themselves and their patients from the potentially deadly virus.

Last year the social enterprise, which provides NHS community health services in Norfolk and Waveney, recorded 76.2% of staff receiving the vaccination, the highest figure recorded in the whole country.

ECCH chief executive Jonathan Williams said: “I am delighted that we have achieved this result two years in a row. We pride ourselves on providing the highest quality care possible and that includes knowing our staff are protected from the flu virus and won’t either pass it on to patients or catch it themselves.

“It’s testament to the dedication of our staff to ensuring safety is paramount at all times. It’s also down to the commitment of our Infection Prevention and Control team who do an amazing job encouraging everyone to get vaccinated and educating them on the dangers of contracting flu.
