East Coast Community Healthcare (ECCH) recently participated in a pilot project for MSc Occupational Therapy students, facilitated by the University of East Anglia (UEA) and the Elizabeth Casson Trust.
The Rehabilitation Entrenched Community Integration Programme Evaluation (RECIPE) project was developed in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, to support OT students who missed out on their spring/summer placements this year.
The programme saw 30 of the university’s MSc Occupational Therapy (OT) students deployed in organisations across the Norfolk and Waveney area. ECCH accommodated 20 of these 1st and 2nd year students, applying the Peer Assisted Learning (PAL) coaching model across 10 services, which included Minsmere Ward, Primary Care Homes and Specialist Services.
