Speech & Language Therapies
This course looks at typical development of speech, language and communication (SLCN) and how to identify children with SLCN difficulties.
You will gain an understanding of how the commissioned service works; when and how to refer and what to expect from the Speech and Language Therapy Service.
You will be signposted to other services that can support children with SLCN and will be given an overview of the further training the service can provide for professionals and parents.
This is an interactive workshop style course.
- To understand typical development of speech, language and communication (SLCN).
- To be able to identify children with various presentations of SLCN difficulty.
- To know when and how to refer to the East Coast Community Heathcare Speech and Language Therapy Service.
- To understand other supporting services and the training available.
This 2.5 hour session costs £500 plus VAT for a maximum of 20 delegates.
The costs are inclusive of trainer, travel, equipment, certificates, copy of the signed attendance sheet and any handouts.
