Neurological Nursing Service
We offer clinical support and information for people aged 18 and over who have Motor Neurone Disease (MND), Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and Parkinson's Diseases in the Great Yarmouth and Waveney area.
We also support their relatives and carers. We provide clinic appointments, home visits and self- management group sessions. We attend support groups on a regular basis. We can arrange interpretation and translation services when required. We work closely with neurologists from JPUH and NNUH.
We hold clinics at:
-Herbert Matthes Block, Northgate Hospital
-Kirkley Mill Health Centre, Lowestoft
-Patrick Stead Hospital, Halesworth
-Sole Bay Health Centre, Reydon
-Shrublands Health Centre, Gorleston
-Martham Health Centre
Patients are able to contact a nurse through East Coast Community Access (ECCA) and they will be given a call back time for a neurology nurse to speak to them. This may be on the day or within 48 hours. If patients wish to speak to a specific nurse they may need to wait until their next available working day.

Referrals are through a consultant neurologist, GP or healthcare professional. For our service to accept a referral the patient must have a confirmed clinical diagnosis from a neurologist.A referral form will be required. Criteria can be found on EMISS.
