The NHS has put in place measures to ensure the safety of all patients and NHS staff during the coronavirus pandemic.

At this present time we are cancelling some routine appointments and visits with a focus on protecting those who are most vulnerable in our communities. We apologise if we cannot currently meet your expectations and sincerely thank you for your patience and support at this difficult time.
When calling our East Coast Community Access (ECCA) line 01493 809977, you will be asked:
• Do you or anyone in your household have Coronavirus?
• Do you have a new continuous cough?
• Do you have a high temperature?
• Does anyone in your household have a new, continuous cough or a high temperature
If you have these symptoms please do not go to a clinic, GP surgery or hospital. NHS 111 has an online coronavirus service that can tell you if you need medical help and advise you what to do. For the latest information and advice, visit here
If you have a home visit booked, you may be called 24 hours in advance by an ECCH staff member to ask whether you are showing any of the above symptoms. Staff will ask again directly before entering your home.

For some people the effects of coronavirus can last for weeks or months. This has been known as Post-COVID Syndrome or Long COVID.
If you think you have Post-COVID Syndrome please speak to your GP who can refer you to a Post-COVID clinic. Information and a referral form for GPs are available here:
Once referred, patients will be contacted by phone and fully assessed before onward referral to the appropriate service.
We are providing all patients of ECCH services with a free medical grade face mask* when they attend an appointment with us.
We kindly request that patients enter the buildings wearing their own face covering until they are issued with a medical grade mask, which must then be worn for the duration of their appointment. Please note any face coverings or masks must cover your nose and mouth.
Our decision to do this is over and above current national guidance, providing increased safety and protection for patients and staff from the spread of Covid-19.
If you have any questions or concerns, please raise these with our receptionist or the clinician at your appointment, who will be able to assist you further.
ECCH will be providing waste bins for you to safely dispose of your mask.
We really do appreciate all of our patients’ efforts to support us in the changes we have made to our services so far, and thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation with our decision to provide a free mask on attendance.
